Pilot project for integration of computer-automated design system at OJSC Institute Hydroproject

Integration of the first stage of a complex computer-automated design system within the framework of modernization projects at Nizhegorodskaya and Volzhskaya HPPs.

Project implementation

Prototype of a complex computer-automated design system (PCCAD) based on PDM system ENOVIA V6 was configured and commissioned to solve the tasks of multidimensional IT system development within the framework of modernization projects at Nizhegorodskaya and Volzhskaya HPPs.

The method was developed to convert available digital mock-ups of Nizhegorodskaya and Volzhskaya HPPs into CATIA V6 applicable format. Instructions on method application were developed along with uploading these models into the System database for further use in the unified digital mock-up and simulation of assembling structure.

Functionality integration into PCCAD was arranged for automated task assignment and monitoring in the process of modernization projects implementation.

Functionality was developed for PCCAD access to information, generated by instrumentation of HPP. User interfaces were developed for access to this information in type of diagrams, graphs and tables, as well for displaying spatially associated real-time data, obtained from instrumentation, on digital model using 3D visualization.

Interactive digital specification for water turbine and generator with possibility to visualize 3D models and associated annotations was developed using 3DVIA solution.

Technological process of hydropower plant reconstruction by the example of water turbine and generator cover disassembling was modeled in DELMIA V6.
